About Gone Fishing Day
Sunday 13th October 2024
Gone Fishing Day is an initiative of the Australian Recreational Fishing Foundation (ARFF), the peak national body and key voice for Australia’s recreational fishing community.
Gone Fishing Day is about celebrating all that we love about fishing and what it gives to Australian communities.
For many, fishing is a simple leisure activity, for some it’s a sport, for others it’s a way of life. For all of us who fish it’s a chance to, disconnect our devices and reconnect with nature and Australia’s unique environments and leave your troubles behind.
National Gone Fishing Day brings together all those aspects that make recreational fishing so popular – on one day for all Australians to enjoy.
